While we are not against people wanting to get into the art of tattooing, we want to bring our concerns to the world and powers that be, to regulate the sale of tattoo supplies to people who just don't care about any hygiene and there for put the health of many at risk.
Our demands are simple and in the interest of all people.
- That steps should be made that tattoo related supplies should only be sold to licensed practitioners.
- That the sale of tattoo related supplies online by auction sites, should be regulated, according to the laws and bye laws, of the seller or buyers location.
- That starterkits for the purpose of tattooing, must be sold with a regulated autoclave.
- That people who decide they want to tattoo in a private accommodation, could get licensed when they do the necessary courses, relating to health, BBP, CPR,.... On the condition that their private accommodation is checked by local health authorities and needs to comply with the same regulations as public licensed tattoo studios.
- That unlicensed practitioners would be sanctioned with heavy fines.
- That powers that be, can enter private premises, if there's prove of unlicensed tattooing, as they can do in licensed tattoo studios.
- That the public should be warned by governments that getting tattooed by unlicensed practitioners is a hazard for their health.

This picture is of an auction on trademe, when people contacted trademe, they neglected the fact that the auction clearly shows used tips, opened bottles,.... only when some people contacted the seller and told him they would report the healt authorities, he stopped the auction.
Here's shocker, it's a screen shot of an auction, again on trademe, look at the bottles and it clearly states that the needles were expired in 2009, but will most likely end up in the hands of somebody without and autoclave, then look at the Q&A of the seller at the bottom, again trademe has been informed, but did not put a stop on it.

Professional tattooists are doing everything they can to follow the laws and use common sense, to keep the tattooworld a safe one, and yet people like the ones below get away with everything. Decent tattoo supplying companies do not sell tattoo equipment to these people, the only way they get it is online from companies who obviously don't care about the health and safety of the people.
