I believe he ment it's a luxury for those getting the tattoo, but I could be wrong, there's a first time for everything...either way, if you have a job in this economy you may just want to hold on to it. Two years ago I couldn't tattoo enough to keep up with the demand, but times have changed... I just don't think I'd want to be a beginner and doing this as my only means of support with things being as they are.

It is a big luxury to the collectors like me, and one that I have to save hard for. I'm trying to get 3 - 4 hours worth of money together at the moment, tis hard.

I know its hard on the artists too, not having the volume of customers through the door? One woman's luxury is another's living?
Hard times ahead me-thinks!

Volume has decreased very noticably. Theirs days where Im sat about twiddling my thumbs, can't find influence to draw and theirs not been a customer about all day. Big pieces have near enough vanished and regulars say Hi when im out and about but rarely get any work in. Im two either selling off stuff I don't really need and once again im looking around for a part time job just to keep my ass open.

I feel blessed to be next to a very large military base ,we can count on being jammed up twice a month on paydays and the regulars and civilians fill the voids

Well it's not down to just being selfish it's down to what makes us both happy. I spoke to Gill at great length about this and she totally agrees with it or it wouldn't happen. I have a couple of businesses being started too which will take up a bit of time but earn a bit of money. I just got to be happy in my life and so does Gill - we have always agreed money isn't that important as long as the bills can be paid.
