Default Big decision

Might be handing my notice in at work tomorrow as they are a bunch of wankers and 6 months into the job I have never been paid on time. No one knows what day it is and most blame me when they haven't put the datainto the epos system.

So I need to decide tonight do I stick at it a bit longer while looking for something to come or bite the bullet and hit the tattooing practise and learning to become a tattooist.
I have such a desire to tattoo but.....money (or lack of it) is gonna be a MAJOR problem.

Suppose this place is a bit biased on this one but money is an issue as always and I got kids to feed.

jobs as much as they suck are hard to come by easily these days, and tattooing is a luxury, many will put off getting inked if the money isn't there,i am looking to get either a second part time or full time job,so with that i will still hold onto building and hopefully getting an apprenticeship, even if it takes sum time or i can only do it one nite a week,so don't cut your nose to spite your face craig, feed yer kids and try and do the tattooing as well,if ya can

I'm sorry to be so negative Craig, but dont jack in your job until you find another, as you say you have a family.

As for tattooing, time to sit down and plan this! Being jobless wont help you achieve your goals. The next job could just tie you over while you sort finances and get into the tattoo world?
Good luck darling

Well the decision was mad for me - I'd made my mind up to go and do something I want to do. Something that will make me happy and not just be in it for the money and that's tattooing.

I got into the office with the notice letter and they'd already got wind that I wasn't happy and asked me for the letter when I walked in the door. They have never paid me on time including last month - I haven't ben paid for January AT ALL!!

So, it's big deciion made and time for me to do what my heart wants me to!

I personally don't no. My wife works though so we should be sort of OK to pay bills etc but it's gone from very well off to really, really tight.

Don't worry Karl your cash in on it's way though! lol

We can survive off Gills wage TBH it's just that this job game spare cash and lots of it. I truly believe that in this life you have to be happy. Money is important but enjoying life is more so. Tattooing is something I have spent a good part of my life wanting to do and never truly committed myself to it for one reason or another. It's about time I committed and stopped with the excuses and complaints. I have learned to pierce and taken time with an artist I respected to help them out where I could and to watch him work, listened when he offered advice and I took it all in. Why then did I go after the money when a job was offered? Because I was stupid that's why. Money ain't everything - as long as you can pay the bills and feed the kids....

I'm 33 and it's getting a bit late in life to keep putting this off. It's time to do what I want to do and enjoy my future as a tattooist. Hard work, commitment and patience is the order of the day and that's exactly what I'm going to give.

I have invested in better equipment and now I have some bottles of decent ink so I have no excuse. It's down to me and me alone.

I am not expecting to walk into an apprenticeship tomorrow and I don't expect to be good enough any time soon. There's the challenge though. I am going to have to work hard and get there on my own to some extent, with the help of you lot of course!
